Event Details
A little bit of sugar & frosting CAN make a difference. May 4, 2010 at the Connolly's Pub, 140Sweets (formerly Cupcakes4Charity) will be holding our 2nd charity fundraising event. Our goal is to raise awareness and use social media to bring together individuals to make a positive difference in the community both locally & globally. Mix and mingle. Have cocktails and indulge in some delicious cupcakes. Donations for registration are not required, but If you choose to do so, for every increment of $5 donated will get you one raffle ticket. Even if you can't attend you'll still be eligible to win!

All proceeds from this event will go to help raise money for the Autism Speaks. Autism has touched many of our lives, and becoming more and more prevalent. Autism now affects 1 in 110 children – 1 in 70 boys. Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding research, raising awareness and advocating for the needs of families and individuals who are struggling with autism. The goal for this event is to exceed the $1,100 that was raised for the American Cancer Society at 140Sweets’ launch event last year.
Donations are welcome. Supporters have been kind enough to donate drink deals, cupcakes, and prize raffles. The main focus though to raise money through sugary, delicious, home baked tasty goodness. Cupcakes will be sold for $2 each with 100% of the profits going to charity. For those interested in baking & donating cupcakes please register as a "baker” & we will get in contact with you.
